Titles 2 : a new way to know what college admissions essays are all about??

“Do not wait for extraordinary circumstances to do good action; try to use ordinary situations. “

That which completly delineats your very own inner personna or the  realistic approch you have towards life is what we call personel statement or college admission essays.when applying for any college or university after secondary education the, applicant is always asked to write an essay usually  irrespective of any topic and then on the basis on this written essay  they observe a profound judgement. They want students to write something beyond ordinary,From a slightly different perspective.Your admission and selection in that particular university in which you have applied largely depend on this personel statement and little bit on your educational background.

Gaining entrance in any college continues to get harder as more and more applicants are applying for a limited number of spaces. How can you improve your chances of being admitted to the college or university of your choice? that is a big and hot question! How to make the judge realized that you are different from all of those people who are applying. To draw this big line that you are exceptional one have to undergo through and onerous task i:e of writing a good and attractive college admission essay whcih contain unique blend of thought ful and absorbing words.

Here we go…

First and formost one have to select an amazing plot ot topic to write this essay, while opting a topic one should keep in mind that its not copied but a result of your own creative writng skills. You can use the essay to describe a favorite activity, to tell a story about yourself, or even a story about your dog, but make sure to really use it — in a way that captures the readers attention and shows that you are really smart and deserve to be choosed.

Put yourself in the shoes of an admissions  college officer who is going to read your essay. What kind of student do you want as part of your campus community? One with all the answers, who knows everything, never makes wrong decisions and seems that he is eager to learn and have great enthusiasm? obviously yes!

one must not have climbed Mount Everest, experienced great personal tragedy or found a cure for cancer to write an effective essay. But you must know how to play with normal usage common words and convert them into superb and attractive admission essay.

Over one-third of the time an admissions officer spends on your application is spent evaluating your essay. Admissions officers use the essay to compare hundreds or even thousands of applicants with similar grades, activities, and SAT scores. To stand out, your essay must not only demonstrate your command on grammar and ability to write lucid, structured prose, you must also paint a vivid picture of your personality and character, one that compels a busy admissions officer to accept you.

Shakespear once said and I quote:

“Brevity is the soul of wit”

There’s no briefer way of expressing this thought than Shakespeare’s; making further explanation redundant. while writing a college admission essay DO strive for depth rather than breadth; narrow your focus to one or two themes, ideas, or experiences.

TODAY’S WOMEN!!

Maham says:I have waited a long time…its such a turning point in my career…Asad how can u even contemplate doing this to me?

Asad: Everything doesnt always have to be about you and your career…we have a family to look after!

Maham: I am individual Asad…an independent entity…and you cant bind me in chains just to keep our family from falling apart.I have my own dreams and aspirations and I feel that pursuing them is more important than changing diapers in the middle of the night and stowing sterilised milk bottles into bawling babies’ mouths.

Asad:How can you even say that?? He is our baby…and we chose to bring him to this world together. We cant possibly dump him into a God forsaken day care centre at the mercy of those reckless nanny how could you even muster the guts to think of doing this to our baby??

Maham:There’s nothing to be so emotional about Asad..you gotta think rationally now.If  dont have a decent career…what will our unconditional penniless love ever be able to buy for our son?? We gotta think like parents Asad..you just dont make sense at times!I mean what’s the harm in hiring a governess for our baby…a Philipino maid…what could be better than that??

Asad:Im paranoid …whatever u call it…but I cant let this happen to my baby.I know how it feels to not be able to talk to your mother when you need her the most. Her constant availability. Her undivided attention.

Maham: Ohh let me guess….are u trying to impose housewifeship on me?? You mean you want me to metamorphosize into those dreary women who confine themselves to the four walls of the house…cook sumptuous meals for their husbands to eat when they get back home…who dress up gaudily once a fortnight to attend one of those ludicrous Committee parties hosted by the nosy neighbourhood women…Arrrrgh!!!!

Asad:U dont have necessarily have to do that..

Maham:Yeah sure because that’s what i’ll end up doing if I quit my job…Why dont you realise for once?? I am at the peak of my career..there’s no looking back.. I am just not quitting my job to raise our baby.

Asad: Do you actually expect an answer to this?

Maham:You gotta be kidding me…This just cant be you…it just has to be one of the members of yur irrrational family.

Asad: Cut the crap!

Maham: No i think we need to clear things out!!

Asad: You’ve made up your mid already…what’s the point?

Maham: Such a radical change in your views…You were the one who got me inducted in this company years ago..You were so different back then..You never bickered with me over such pesky issues..

Asad : Pesky? You call this pesky?

Maham: Well ofcourse it is…you ‘ve made it a matter of dispute when it was never destined to cause such a scuffle.

Asad: I’m not letting you work till our baby grows a little older…no more arguments now..is that understood??

Maham:Excuse me!! What makes u think I am going to abide by the rules and regulations crafted by your peanut sized brain?? I am not one of those docile pliant village women who bow their heads before their husband’s orders..I am capable enough of surviving without the few bucks that you earn…I am not obliged to carry this relationship further when you yourself are not willig to compromise with me. I am calling it off…I cant stay in this inferno anymore…where im suppressed just so that I dont surpass the limits of success attained by the male head of the family.

Asad: This is just not done..you need not take this so far.

Maham:This is it..Nice knowing you gentleman..You can now very comfortably bring your son the type of mother you had dreamt of …Because I cant fit into the vision you have envisaged for your son.

Asad: Wait

Maham:There’s nothing more to it….Its the end of this odyssey….

Fashion isnt just a word!!!

Oscar Wilde is of the opinion that,

” A fashion is merely a form of ugliness so unbearable that we are compelled   to alter it every six months.

There is a girl name sarah pasha who once wrote an article on fashion sense in dawn magzine. That article was a superb piece of reality.I staunchly agree with her perception and its really commendable that in this society, where everyone is just mimicking the so-called fashion blindly, there’s someone who actually struck against it through such absorbing words.its true that now a days people doesnt really care that when and which outfit is suiting on their figure.they just carry every fashion i.e runnning arround without paying check to season, style and particularly their body phisique.
I believe fashion is not just a word but it carries a whole new world within it.considering its litral meaning we can deleniate is as the manner mode and way.now it all depends on us how we carry it.It is a matter of great importance because we are just in the dark when it comes to “what’s hot and what’s not”?
………………
People use fashion as a way to express themselves although many people are sadly mistaken because they do not realise that fashion today is not all about imitating and impressing others. The word “fashion” in itself covers a wide range of different styles and trends. Many people “dress to impress” and others simply dress to be noticed. Young people all over the world are becoming extremely fashion conscious, whether boys or girls, they are all fascinated by it. People want to look their best in order to impress other whoever who comes on their way out!!
…………………..
Art, Clothing, and Fashion; when talking about fashion it is hard not to discuss clothing; and when speaking about clothes, it is hard to omit the influence of art. Thus, these three words go hand in hand to give meaning to each other. Art, clothing, and fashion influence each other and provide basis for us to understand each one.
………………..

Well fashion does not coordinate only towards clothing. We also have hair styles, make up, music and everything  which comes under the heading of outfit.each of these depends on what type of clothing we gonna choose for ourselves.nevertheless in each of them art is present.
…………………..

Well here let me clear you one thing that fashion is not as to what people usually thing it is.Its actually a kaliedoscopic picture of what we see and moreover what we heard.its changes like weather today high shirt and long pants are in who knows tommorow they would be nothing but a cliche and if you still follow then you will be tagged outdated!!
Richie Rich speaking about designing with sustainable, recyclable and environmentally friendly fabrics for the eco fashion event FutureFashion:
——————-
“It’s definitely something we’re going to continue toying with. People often perceive the fashion world as superficial, so it’s great to work with materials that are actually good for the environment. I had my doubts, but when we actually saw the fabric swatches we were blown away. They were gorgeous, and it wasn’t hard to design with them.”
—————
One should keep in mind that every single stlye is not for every other person.one should always opt for pertinent and convienent mode rather untrendy so that they can come up with something sensible!!
—————
William shakespear once said and I quote.
“I’ll be at charges for a looking-glass And entertain a                                                  score or two of tailors
To study fashions to adorn my body:
Since I am crept in favor with myself, I will maintain it                                                   with some little cost”

“just go for something in which you feel satisfied”

Sana: Oh my god! Can I believe this? sara! you are still alive?

sara: Assalamualikum! Common, I’m alive. And I am here with you. It’s hardly relative.

Sana: So man, where have you been all summer? Rumours were you had gone to Egypt in search for the lost diadem, the mysterious whatever in you know…

sara: Well, apparently Harry managed to find it on his own, though I could be helpful as always. I was actually looking for a school for aerospace studies. And yeah! Don’t call me man. It sounds too formal.

Sana: Oh yeah, I forgot. You don’t believe in human races, do you? Haha. And aerospace studies? Hhmm….. Yeah, I do remember you talking once. So what are you going to do?

Sara: Well, its aerospace engineering to be more precise. I have a passion. Cruise missiles, ballistics, jets, BVRs, and yeah, why, of course, the relativistic rockets and the antimatter bomb. My interests find deep affection with military. What about you, when is your medical school starting?

Sana: Dude! I changed plans. I’m not doing medical anymore. Going for business school in the States. Just a couple of weeks and I’ll be gone from the relentless world here. And Sara! Common dude cheer up! I bet you’ll be earning loads from the stuff you are telling. Go to NASA or CERN and also bring your parents over there. Small family, easy to migrate.

Sara! Umm…. Well, I have other other plans, too, sana. I am going to work here, in Pakistan.

Sana! Oh no kidding Sara. Why come choose such a theme when you are determined to waste it? Who would ever bother about those freaking objects here?

sara: Oppurtunity does not come with destiny, sana. Prospects are bleak when you see mud instead of the stars when you look out of your window.  I’m not arguing on philosophy, I’m just trying to sound reasonable.

Sana: So why not go for something that’s already worth it. Your parents have spent a lot of money on you. It’s their right to expect a return.

Sara: Yeah, but paradigm of success is not contracted to the scope of materialism. It’s the satisfaction you gain, the sense of consummation one feels for what he has done. Anyways it seems you have definite plans for what courses you are going to choose.

Sana: Oh no not at all. I’m going for business just because it is high-time that the Ameriican multi-nationals are looking for brainpower. If I’ll see the trend changing towards computers, I’ll switch over to software engineering. I keep doors open for myself Sara. Don’t ever pin yourself to a wall. Even that might not be able to support your weight for long.

Sara: sana it’s the ideology of freedom that matters. You find a flexible career optimum for a comfortable living. I believe in exploring your passion and speaking for your desires. Always be sure you are right, then go ahead. David Crocket said.
Sana: So are you going to stick with your interest once i fails
to buy you a job even? We are progressing into the universities to establish our footings on a professional career. It’s not an experimental lab to test our flight.

Sara: We don’t go to school to buy jobs, sana. We go to learn. Whatever we can do after is the beauty of what we have done. It all comes to our choices how we look into it.

Sana: Dude! You seem determined. I, however, have to look for a number of things. I do hope that we would see each other in U.S.

Sara: Oh yeah sure sana! School bonds should not be fragmented by seperation of careers. It something we both would agree upon. See ya…..

“A picture is worth a thousand words”

I have got a painting that I cannot see. It does not use any colour, it is not painted on any easel. It just moves in my imagination. I say it is colourless because I do not like any colour of the world. Any frame is too modest for my picture to fit in. My painting is the reflection of my idealism. It is above the ordinary reality that exists in this world, superior to be viewed by anyone.

***

I stop at a traffic signal and a small boy knocks at my window. He wants money for food. I ignore him because I am sick of the beggars who are roaming every street of my city, always faking excuses to make us pay them.

***

I am late for my cousin’s birthday party because I was packed in a traffic jam. I tell this to my cousin but she refuses to believe me. She says that it is a common excuse for dilatory people. She ignores my presence during the entire party.

***

Alone in my bed, some time late at night, I carefully uncover the painting of my life. I look into it to find an explanation of the preceding events. For the first time I am surprised at the fact that I cannot see anything in it. Shocked, I scrupulously follow the intricacies of the abstract images it carries. I want to discover an honest face in it – a true, simple and unembellished expression of reality. But after an endless search breeding nothingness, I am disappointed. For the first time in my life my painting has failed me – the every first time I have tried to interpret a reality through it.

I am forced to think of the concept of life I, in fact most people around me, have developed – an understanding that is based on a misunderstanding. Standing in the midst of an unoriginal world, I realize, we have lost the sense to discriminate between the real and the fake. Our thoughts are obsessed with disbelief, influenced by the dishonesty of our environment. I realize that we are actually afraid of acknowledging the truth, that we simply veil our fear of the real under the cloak of our paradigm for the genuinity of things. We have moved the concept of reality from this world to a false utopia which cannot exist.

I am surprised at the monotony of our approach, the limited scope to which we have contracted our life. We always suspect things because we are unsure of their honesty. We never give them a chance to prove themselves. We are so forcefully immersed in our self-created, self-serving world that we cannot surface to look at the endless planet of truth and reality that lies beyond.

With a gush of embarrassment and realization I recognize the element of distrust I have so surreptitiously embedded in my heart. I turn to look at the only alternative that can remove it: that sometimes things are the other way round. Sometimes it is the trust we ourselves give to our environment which motivates it to breed honesty. Sometimes the world is to be viewed from a different perspective. I decide that good qualities harness from human beings, not from the lifeless sculptures of angels. True words do not have to shower from the sky. Extraordinary things do not always happen in life. It is the same common, simple and uncomplicated images that delineate that true sketch of life.

I come to understand that my life is kaleidoscopic painting of nature. I simply have to add colour to it with my own outlook towards it to sustain its beauty. Painting another picture in its place with imaginary colours on airy easel is simply an unrealistic task.

***

The next time my car stopped at the traffic signal, I turned to see if there was any beggar on the street. There was no one; there were people all like myself, always expecting something from someone, generous enough to offer something else in exchange. I turned to look at the painting of my life. It had all the colours in the world.
